"A pilot helmet was found in the Paran River area. On the helmet inside, Guri and something like b.140 are written. Named Yogev Negev on Facebook.

In the Air Force, where the details were updated not long after, they decided to take a look at the helmet, which remained in the field, to examine whether it was a helmet of the late Major Gori who had fallen with a camper in a plane over the Negev sky.

"The Air Force is in contact with the family, updated it, and will continue to accompany it," the Air Force said. "We thank the citizen for his vigilance."

Major Daniel Gaury enlisted in the IDF in 1969 for service in the Air Force. After successfully completing a flying course, completing regular service and continuing into regular service, he took part in the Yom Kippur War as a Phantom pilot. Over the years, he rose to the rank of major and graduated from the permanent service for study at Hadassah College. In 1980, he married Oprah, and in early 1982 returned to the Phantom Squadron's permanent service and then moved to command the operational training course for the fighter pilots.

The day he found his death during a training flight was also the fourth anniversary of his marriage. In a plane in which Major Guri (32) flew and the apprentice accompanying him was found to be malfunctioning and the two failed to recover from it until it crashed.
