Only about four weeks ago, the organizers had made the Ursprung carnival parade public. And then 35 groups take part. It was a spectacle yesterday afternoon in the little village.

Ursprung - The municipality acted as the organizer, but the clubs managed to do it together - above all "the five mothers and a younger gentleman", whose idea was to revive (we reported).

The Ursprungers were rewarded with numerous spectators from outside and dry, sunny weather. The fire brigade also did a good job because the parking spaces in the tranquil village are scarce and the number of visitors had to be regulated. Incidentally, no entry was asked.

The move then started punctually at 2 p.m., especially the numerous costumes with their detailed clothing were great eye-catchers. Almost all of the participants came from Steingaden and Ursprung, only three larger wagons were from the neighboring communities. The kindergarten with the youngest and their parents made up a large, colorful group, and the Steingaden music band also played hard in the sports dress. And the guard girls and the Steingaden gymnast women "Next Generation" marched happily.

Pope is sure to announce via loudspeaker

The Pope even announced himself in his papamobile via loudspeaker, and from the Viking ship it rained a lot of sweets for the little guests on the roadside. Whether chicks, bobbies or a group of cyclists who "want to save the climate by riding a lot of bicycles, eating little meat and drinking Lech water" - there was something on offer. Clubs, groups of friends, parents with their children, they all had great ideas that were nice to look at.

The organizers, including Margit Oswald, were also delighted. "Everyone immediately felt at the carnival parade and wanted to join in." There were many helpers to cope with the food and everything around it.

Repetition is probably only a matter of time

And you saw that on Sunday yourself, because the village community was palpable. There was a lot of celebrations at the clubhouse and with such positive feedback it should only be a matter of time before there will be a repeat of the hustle and bustle.
