The Ministry of Health continues to rehabilitate and restore hospitals affected by terrorism on a Syrian area, in parallel with the opening of a new one to gradually restore the health map, which currently includes 88 general and specialized hospitals.
The Ministry of Health hospitals are divided between 58 general hospitals, 16 specialized hospitals, 14 independent bodies and 26 out-of-service hospitals due to the crimes of terrorist organizations, according to hospital director Dr. Ahmed Damiry, who explained that the total number of beds in all hospitals is about 7500 beds.
His conscience indicated that the ministry is continuing to restore and rehabilitate a number of hospitals that have gone out of service in several governorates, in addition to opening new hospitals, the last of which is a meteor hospital in As-Suwayda and children in Tartous.
In Damascus countryside, his consciences stated that the ministry started last year to restore the Kafr Batna Hospital, Harasta, Maliha, and Jaramana clinics, in addition to completing the construction of the Al-Rahiba and Kiswah Hospitals, whose completion rate reached 60 percent and stopped due to the terrorist war on Syria.
In Lattakia, according to the director of hospitals, the Ministry is currently carrying out the restoration work of the Martyr Ibrahim Naama Hospital, in addition to the work to cover the new Jableh Hospital.
As for Homs Governorate, work continues to rehabilitate Ibn Al-Walid Hospital and the Oncology Department at Homs Grand Hospital, as well as preparing two studies to rehabilitate the National Hospital and rehabilitate Al-Rastan Hospital as a general hospital or convert it into a specialized hospital for cardiac surgery according to its conscience.
The director of hospitals revealed preparing studies to rehabilitate the children's and eye hospitals in Aleppo, the National Hospital in Qamishli, the Nawa Hospital in Daraa and all the hospitals of Deir Ezzor.
The hospitals of the Ministry of Health in all governorates registered last year to provide more than 26 million investigative, treatment and surgical services.
