The Ministry of Health announced Sunday that in Japan, three Israeli passengers aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship have been infected with the deadly corona virus.

The Ministry of Health is in direct contact with the authorities in Japan, the World Health Organization and other relevant bodies. The Ministry of Health said that for the Israelis diagnosed with the virus, they were transferred to a hospital in Japan, and Israel will send a specialist physician to contact the relevant parties in Japan and accompany them in the medical procedure.

As for the rest of the Israelis on the ship, insofar as they do not find the virus positive, the firm is in contact with the insurance companies in order to check the possibility of returning them to Israel by direct dedicated flight through the insurance companies in which they are insured. Upon their return, they will go into isolation and medical surveillance.

380 US citizens are expected to board a plane sent by the US government today to bring American citizens back on board. Those citizens will be transferred to US bases, where they will be insulated for another two weeks. The Americans have announced that all citizens expected to board the plane will be tested, and who To be found to carry the virus - will not be able to return to the United States on this flight.

It was also reported that some of the ship's passengers would probably have to stay in solitary confinement by the 21st of the month, and not by 19 as had been first announced. Reports will be taken from all travelers on the 18th of the month, they will have to wait between one and three days for answers to arrive, and then anyone whose test results are correct can leave the isolation and return to his country.

According to an update by the Israeli Embassy in Japan to passengers, the first to leave the ship if their tests are correct will be passengers over the age of 70, so most Israelis will probably be in this group if the results of their tests are correct. As a rule, 200-300 passengers are on this age range. The rest of the passengers will probably have to wait another day or two to get answers and leave the ship.

After disembarking, all passengers whose test results are correct can walk freely without the need for further isolation. Meanwhile, the number of people on the ship rose to 285 people after another 67 patients were diagnosed in the past day. In an attempt to expedite the release of Israeli passengers from the ship, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health Prof. Itamar Grotto took off for Japan to discuss with the authorities the release of Israelis.
