North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited his father's grave, Kim Jong Il, on Sunday to mark the latter's birthday, state media has reported. A ceremony at the museum awaits senior party officials, including Chu Ryung High, president of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Pak Pong Joe, vice chairman of the State Commission.

This visit is considered to be his first public appearance in 22 days, since he participated in Korea's New Year celebrations on January 25, as well as since the Corona virus has erupted across Asia.

In the meantime, Pyongyang did not confirm cases of Corona infection in its territory, but state media reported that the government extended the 30-day quarantine period to those diagnosed with symptoms. In addition, all government and foreign state institutions are expected to work as usual, "unconditionally."
