It is proof, another, of the validity of the crack. A study that measures mentions in social networks places Mauricio Macri first. The former president who has been out of office for more than two months. That position, however, would not imply an endorsement of his figure and management but the demonstration of the centrality that he maintains as an actor of polarization . Many of those who name it do so critically.

The data arises from the new monthly report of the Cigob Foundation, "a non-governmental organization created with the objective of strengthening government teams", as presented on its website. Since 2012 , according to another firm (Autoritas Consulting), "they monitor Internet conversations about actors, problems of daily life, concerns about the economy, communication channels, among other aspects that make the conversation about political life in Argentina . "

In his latest study, from January 2020, based on 6,482,547 mentions on Twitter, Macri points with 30.8% . The podium is completed by Alberto Fernández (19.9%) and Cristina Kirchner (15.1%). And the funny thing (or not so much) is that if you take the top ten of the most mentioned, the distribution of the crack is exact . There are five of Together for Change and five of the Front of All.

In addition to Macri, Alberto and Cristina, the table is completed by Governor Axel Kicillof (8.5%), former Governor María Eugenia Vidal (4.4%), former Minister Patricia Bullrich (4.1%), the chief Government Horacio Rodríguez Larreta (2.6%), Deputy Sergio Massa (2%), Deputy Elisa Carrió (2%) and Cabinet Chief Santiago Cafiero (1.9%).

For this ranking, the 27 most popular politicians in the country were analyzed. Regarding December , the names are repeated and there are only changes from 6th to 9th place . Massa and Carrió dropped two places, the opposite of Bullrich and Larreta.

Then, the "Interbarometer" (that's what the study is called) shows the measurements until May, the month in which Cristina nominated Alberto Fernández as her candidate for president. Macri always remained in charge and since July, Fernández moved to second place. From that same date, the one that is falling is Vidal.

As for the "most mentioned problems around politics," point three that seem more linked to the concerns of the macrista voters. In this case, based on 1,768,557 mentions in January, they lead "Justice" (15%), "Security" (13.6%) and Corruption (11.5%) .

And finally, the study elaborates a ranking with the 10 government officials most mentioned , excluding the President, with more mentions. Punches Cafiero (with 13.4% of the total of 919,239 tweets analyzed), followed by Felipe Solá (chancellor, 10.6%), Sabina Frederic (Security, 9.3%), Ginés González García (Health, 7.5% ), Gabriel Katopodi s (Public Works, 6.2%), Martín Guzmán (Economy, 5.9%), Victoria Donda (Inadi, 5.7%), Malena Galmarini (Aysa, 5.6%), Daniel Arroyo (Social Development, 5.3%) and Wado de Pedro (Interior, 4.1%).
