Wuhan pneumonia caused the city to snap up masks. An Indian commissioner implicated two courier companies last Friday to fool 5,500 masks. It was suspected that the 2,000 masks were resold for more than 7,000 yuan. She pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud at the Tuen Mun Magistracy today (17), and the defence pleaded that she had committed a crime for his father's surgery. Magistrate Shui Jiali described the defendant as "crazy" and said that in this difficult period, it should be to help each other and love each other, not to snatch or cheat. She sentenced the defendant to four weeks in prison and compensated 12,000.

The defendant, Masriki (35), works as a domestic helper in Hong Kong and is currently represented by a duty lawyer. She pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud; she was charged on February 14 at the shop "Anny Express" on the 2nd floor of Causeway Bay Centre, deceiving her clerks as SRI-YATIN and ITA by deception, and dishonestly obtaining the former 2000 Masks and the latter's 3,500 masks.

Defendant Masriki was sentenced to 4 weeks in Tuen Mun Court today and compensated 12,000.

Courtship means committing a crime for father's medical expenses

The prosecution claimed that the defendant had no previous criminal record, of which 2,000 masks had been returned to the affiliated company, and the defendant would compensate another company for 12,000 yuan.

The defence begged to reveal that the defendant had a 12-year-old son in Indonesia. The defendant committed the crime for medical expenses because his 90-year-old father needed surgery. When she picked up her package that day, she happened to recognize the surgical mask from the package of other goods, and then took the information to fake the others to obtain the mask. The defendant deeply regretted that he was willing to pay compensation.

Officials said that mutual aid and non-robbery scams should be used in difficult times

The magistrate questioned how the defendant who had committed the crime due to financial difficulties lost money. She described the accused as "out of mind" and instructed her to help and love each other instead of plundering scams during these difficult times. The defence stated that her seized items commonly known as "Baotou" had 9,000 cash in it. If the court asked her to retrieve her mobile phone, she could ask her friend to pay 3,000 yuan in compensation.

The magistrate finally sentenced the defendant to 4 weeks in prison and compensated 12,000. Of this amount, 9,000 yuan was deducted from Baotou. If she fails to pay the remaining 3,000 yuan within one month, she will be imprisoned for another 10 days.

Masked twice to get a mask

The court heard that the two parties did not know the defendant. At 10:30 in the morning, the defendant pretended that one of them obtained 2,000 masks, and half an hour later she pretended that the other person obtained 3500 masks. At 12 noon, the real buyer went to the store to pick up the goods, but the defendant at the time was intercepted and arrested.

After the police investigation, 2,000 masks involved in the case were returned. Some people claimed that the masks were purchased from the defendant for 7,140 yuan. He was cautioned to admit to committing a crime due to greed, and said that another batch of masks had been given to an Indonesian woman, and the two had no contact.
