The National Health Commission in China reported 2,048 new cases of corona virus over the past 24 hours, with 70,548 infected so far. Also, the virus took the lives of another 105 people, and the number of victims rose to 1,770 nationwide.

The Hubei County Health Authority, the virus outbreak center and the area where more than 50 million residents are in quarantine, have confirmed that most of the dead come from this area. In the district itself, 1,933 more infections were reported in the last day.

Despite the many deaths in China, there has been a downward trend in the number of new infections in recent days. According to Mi Feng, spokesman for the National Health Commission, the steps taken by the state are beginning to bear fruit. In addition, Chinese Foreign Minister Wong Yi said that alongside the decline in the number of patients, there has been a rapid increase in the number of health-care workers.

At the same time, citizens of the United States who have been quarantined on the Diamond Princess cruise ship since February 5 took off back to their country. The ship was held in isolation by some 380 Americans off the coast of Japan, but only those not infected with the virus were allowed to leave by charter flights. Yesterday it was learned that three of the Israelis on the ship had been infected with the virus, and they were taken off and taken to medical treatment.

With more than 400 people infected with the virus on the anchorage offshore, Japan is the country most affected by China from the epidemic first discovered in December. Outside China, more than 500 cases have been documented soon in 30 countries. China's ambassador to Australia, Chang Jingyi, said tonight that the country should remove restrictions on foreign nationals coming in from China. "We have expressed our hope that the Australian government will take a more balanced approach and remove these harsh restrictions," the ambassador told Sky Network.

The contagion in the country remained static, with 15 people following the Corona infestation. Since February 1, Australia has prevented any non-citizen or permanent resident from entering the country trying to enter China. This is part of its preparedness to prevent the spread of the virus in the island state.

Meanwhile, the Taiwan Ministry of Health announced last night that a man in his 60s had died of the virus, which had recently emerged from the island's borders but had diabetes and jaundice.
