"The worst part about being a child on the autistic continuum is loneliness," says Avivit Bismuth, an ultra-Orthodox woman and 16.5-year-old Indian mother who was diagnosed on the autistic continuum and participated in the ultra-Orthodox women's run for special children and organization with one heart.

"What is most needed for special kids and girls is someone who will show them that they are interested in them, someone who will embrace them and play with them. This is also the goal of the" Runners with the Heart "race, which will include hundreds of ultra-Orthodox women, some - like myself - mothers of special children, and some volunteers or ultra-Orthodox women. Who want to express identification, contribute and strengthen the activities of the 'One Heart' organization for the benefit of special children, "she says.

Running with the heart

The race she is talking about will be held in parallel with the Tel Aviv Marathon on Friday, February 28, 20 (Jader). And so, while thousands of runners from around the world and the world will block the main traffic routes of Tel Aviv, hundreds of ultra-Orthodox women in the Neot Kedum Park will gather for a unique race with only women under the title "Runners with the Heart".

This unique race is initiated by the One Heart organization, which helps year-round patients and thousands of families with special children from all over the country, in order to raise awareness of the needs of special children and the daily challenge facing the families of those children. The money raised will be donated thanks to the race for the ambitious project he works tirelessly on the organization: building day centers and luxurious games for special children in ultra-Orthodox concentrations.

And so, while some of their friends are busy cooking and preparing to sit, dozens of ultra-Orthodox women will turn for the benefit of their special children and their families and will gather at the Neot Kedum Park for two runs: from 5km and 10km longer.

Don't want to run in the street

The running site - Naot Kadumim Park - was chosen to allow the ultra-Orthodox women to run comfortably and in accordance with their community needs. "Haredi women do not want to run in the street, there are both modesty issues and unpleasantness to run in the area that everyone knows you," says Susan Rubin, the race director, adding, "This is an event about the ultra-Orthodox women. Many of the participants are business women or senior positions and this is an event that highlights The female empowerment of women who want and can contribute from a cheerful and inviting to society and families who are heroically facing the challenge of raising special children and this of course alongside maintaining the values of modesty. "

Aviv Bismuth also agrees with Susan Robin: "There are almost no races for ultra-Orthodox women in the country. And here they managed to create an event that gives the unifying sporting experience and still upholds the rules of the community. Last year I ran with my daughter, which was a very special and connecting experience for both of us. She took on much more responsibility in helping with her sister Hoodia. "
