In recent months, the IDF has been working on the development of a new vest that includes a built-in battery that will charge various optics and electronics.
The new development may significantly reduce the weight the fighter carries, and make changes to the use of electronic devices.
The IDF will soon be developing a prototype of the vest, followed by a pilot for six months.
The demand for the new vest came from the fighting units. So far, the fighters have had to carry different types of batteries to replace them with different devices, as well as numerous batteries if they have had to spend a long time in ambush or enemy territory during a confrontation.
This put a great deal of weight on their backs, and in case they had forgotten one or the other battery they had to hit the task or stop earlier than expected.

Therefore, contact the in-country arm's-arm department at the electro-optics plant at a rehabilitation and maintenance center to request a battery that will charge all devices used by the fighter in the field.
Within four months, engineers were able to create an energy hub that includes a battery that allows charging devices, night vision devices and smart intentions.
"This is a revolutionary product that enables higher functional ability and lethality for the fighter," explained Lieutenant Colonel Ron Yitzhaki, commander of the electro-optics plant.
