Dozens of pets were suspected of being dropped from a height of 19th floor by two cases of animal cruelty in Shenjing Haojing Garden. At least 15 of them were lying on the slope and died on the spot. The horrific case of pets falling into the street occurred in the Shenjing Haojing Garden for two consecutive days. The first occurred on the afternoon of Valentine's Day (14th). At noon the next day, security guards found 3 cats in good condition in the manhole and the canal. They were suspected to be related to the case. The gates of the 19 units involved in Haojing Garden were locked, and a police notice outside the door required residents to contact the 7th Criminal Investigation Team of the Tsuen Wan Police District.

Neighbours were greatly surprised by the incident of animal abuse. Police officers also came to investigate yesterday. They pointed out that the unit had smelly in the past few years, and some people have improved after complaining, but they have not seen anyone in the unit recently. They pointed out that the households were middle-aged men who had moved in in recent years, and they rarely met. Some cleaners quoted the security guard as saying that the two brothers involved were fighting with each other, and they drove the animals off the street. A notice was posted on the estate that after the animals were removed from the association, they would be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to ensure the hygiene of the estate.

The two cases were merged and were followed up by Team 7 of the Tsuen Wan Police District Criminal Investigation Team. No arrests have been made. Police urge members of the public to contact investigators at 3661 2420 if they have any information on the case.
