She was unable to work for half a year: after an accident while airboarding, an employee of Munich Airport was absent for a long time. Now the organizer from Bayrischzell has to pay.
Bayrischzell - An event organizer from Bayrischzell has to pay a good 11,000 euros in damages to the Munich Airport Company because of an airboarding accident four years ago. An employee had broken both her thighs while airboarding when she bumped into an iron water tub that was hidden in the snow. She couldn't work for half a year.
The entrepreneur had been ordered by the Munich II Regional Court to pay the five-digit sum. But he appealed to the Higher Regional Court (OLG). After a corresponding notice from the higher court, the Bayrischzeller now withdrew the appeal. This was announced yesterday evening by the press office of the regional court. As a result, the judgment is now final.
The airport group drove down a side slope of the Brecherspitz as part of a training course. Like her colleagues, the marketing employee (30) had been advised of bumps. "We should watch out for stones," said the woman as a witness. She didn't know anything about an iron tub. It belongs to a farmer and has been there for years. In summer it serves as a cattle trough for the cows grazing on the slope. He did not know that this would be used for airboarding in winter. During airboarding, the participants slide down a descent on an air mattress.
