The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a person in the city of Damascus who is transferring money illegally.
The ministry explained in a statement that, after information was available about a person receiving illegal money transfers from abroad, a patrol from the Criminal Security Department managed, in coordination with the judicial officer in the Central Bank of Syria, to arrest the aforementioned person in a special Kia Rio vehicle in the Abbasiyyin Square. The city of Damascus while delivering a sum of money placed in two large bags.
According to the statement, the periodical seized the possession of the arrested person with an amount of 30 million pounds, and in investigation with him, he admitted to practicing the profession of transferring money illegally.
