Frédéric Thiriez: "We need a more open and more agile public service"

INTERVIEW - Almost a year after being commissioned by President Macron to propose a reform of the ENA and the senior civil service, the former president of the Football League reported to the Prime Minister.


Among the 42 proposals by Frédéric Thiriez, two could not be taken up by the executive, because they are too delicate: the creation of a special competition for equal opportunities and the removal of the exit classification.

The senior civil service is made up of 80% of CSP + children who studied in Paris, mostly boys. The gap also stems from the impression that senior officials are far removed from people's concerns.
