The first tenants are expected to move in in May, but before that everything is to be finished in the outdoor area: The municipal council has approved the planning for the outdoor facilities at the new community apartment building in Babenried.

Landsberied - "We have a very sporty schedule," said landscape architect Katrin Kronenbitter, who worked out the planning and presented it to the town council. The municipality has to comply with certain requirements, for example because they are prescribed in the development plan.

"A very important point was the matter of greening the outskirts," said Kronenbitter. To the west, after the new house there is only free space to Jesenwang, so the community has to plant something there. But you didn't want a “continuous green sausage” at this point, which would also block the view from the balconies and terraces to the outside, said Kronenbitter. Therefore, loosened, separated green islands with trees and trees are planned.

According to a proposal by the architect, the area between the new house and Dorfstrasse should also become green, but not completely green on purpose. A new building may be built there again. That will be decided by the new municipal council. In the meantime, Kronenbitter suggested that instead of a green lawn, a flowering meadow should be created on the area. The perfect condition would already exist for this, "The surface is ideal", because the floor there is made of gravel.

A fence is to be built to the neighboring property in the north. The neighbors want the fence to be greened and form an optical separation. The parking spaces for the apartments are being built there on the municipal side. "I can understand the neighbors, I would also not like to look at the cars," said local councilor Johannes Trischberger (CSU / WDG).

For the time being, the municipal council wants to postpone the construction of a playground. Due to the composition of the tenants, there is no need for this yet. Kronenbitter's plans were approved by the councils with ten to two votes. The total cost of the outdoor facilities is 166,000 euros.
