An IDF spokesman allowed the announcement that yesterday, the helicopter of the IDF cavalry, a fighter pilot in the Air Force, was Capt. Major Daniel (Danny) Gori, in Nahal Faran, about 10 km west of Faran. The late Gori fell in 1984 during a training flight in the south of the country. "In Israel Today" was published yesterday, a force of 669 went out to search for the helmet.

Following the posting of a Facebook hiker's post last Saturday, to which a photo of the helmet with the caption "Gori" was attached, representatives of the Air Force Investigation and Missing Branches contacted the hiker to identify the exact location where the helmet was located.

After checking the information, a team was set up to locate and restore the helmet to the pilot family, which was updated with all the details. The detection team was made up of fighters from the Rescue Unit 669, MCAA investigators (safety and quality control), and a helicopter crew from Squadron 123 ("Desert Birds"), which split and scoured the area until the helmet was located.

The helmet was located south of the country in Nahal Faran, and a message was given to the pilot family. The helmet will be delivered to the family as soon as possible by the IAF.

Major Daniel Gaury enlisted in the IDF in 1969 for service in the Air Force. After successfully completing a flying course, completing regular service and continuing into regular service, he took part in the Yom Kippur War as a Phantom pilot. Over the years, he rose to the rank of major and graduated from the permanent service for study at Hadassah College. In 1980, he married Oprah, and in early 1982 returned to the Phantom Squadron's permanent service and then moved to command the operational training course for the fighter pilots.

The day he found his death during a training flight was also the fourth anniversary of his marriage. In a plane in which Major Guri (32) flew and the apprentice accompanying him was found to be malfunctioning and the two failed to recover from it until it crashed.

IDF Spokesman: "The effort to identify missing persons and fallen victims while performing their duties is an ongoing effort and part of the IDF's moral and moral duty, part of our commitment to servants and their families. The IDF is obligated to return to the families every piece of memory of their loved ones who sacrificed their lives and fell during their military service. "
