The LKA is currently informing about investigations against several police officers from Munich. Apparently they are involved in a scandal.
Munich - The press release of the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office: The public prosecutor's office in Munich I and the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (LKA) have been investigating officers from the Munich Police Department since mid- July 2018 on suspicion of violations of the Narcotics Act .
As part of an investigation by the Munich criminal police against a suspected drug dealer in 2018, suspicions arose against police officers from the PP Munich regarding possible narcotics offenses. Subsequently, the further investigations were immediately handed over to the internal investigators of the State Criminal Police Office, as is usual in such cases for reasons of neutrality, and continued under the leadership of the Munich I public prosecutor's office through the LKA.
In December 2018 and January 2020, and in one case today, the LKA officials searched the homes and workplaces of the suspects based on the findings of the extensive investigation. After police operations were completed, all suspects were released from police custody.
The Munich I Public Prosecutor's Office and the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office are currently investigating eight members of the Munich Police Headquarters, who belong to five different agencies.
