CSU candidate Ludwig Gröbmaier (33) is the offspring of a politically very interested family. He does not see his lack of experience as a disadvantage.
Dietramszell - Other parts of the community are still in the fog. At Ludwig Gröbmaier the sun shines in the living room. Through the window, the view extends over snow-covered fields to the Alps. "I just can't get enough of it," says the 33-year-old. He has lived all his life here on Jasberg, the highest point in the municipality. Because he loves his rural homeland and considers careful development necessary, he wants to be Mayor of Dietramszell on March 15th.
The trained carpenter built his house out of solid spruce planks by hand on his parents' house a good ten years ago. His wife Bernadett's hairdressing salon is next door - a converted apartment. In the living room, Ludwig junior sits on the parquet floor with a pacifier and carnival painting on his face and clears out his children's toolbox. The two-year-old has blond hair from his mom, but "I am probably enthusiastic about handicrafts," says the dad proudly.
Politics have always been at home
The young family is expecting the second child at the end of April. Actually not the ideal time to take over the executive chair in the town hall - is it? "Yes," says Gröbmaier. “I can now set the course for sustainable development. If my children ask me later, papa, what have you done or not done, I have to give them an account. ”But it was important to him that his wife supported his candidacy. The two grandmothers help with childcare - one lives right next door, the other comes by once a week.
"There was always a lot of discussion about political issues at home," says Gröbmaier. He therefore considers his own commitment to be a logical consequence. At the age of 21 he joined the Junge Union. The incumbent mayor Leni Gröbmaier from the Dietramszell (BLD) citizen list is a married aunt, a cousin is on the Greens candidate list for the municipal council. However, Groebmaier sees no danger that the family clan could influence him when making political decisions: “I am not the extended arm of Leni. I have my own point of view. "
He says: "I can familiarize myself with everything"
Gröbmaier's professional career proves that he likes to face new challenges: After completing his carpentry apprenticeship, he graduated as a state-certified wood technician from the technical school in Rosenheim and then started as a construction project manager at a large property management company in Munich. In addition to his job, he completed an apprenticeship as a farmer and then studied business administration and management at the Munich University of Applied Sciences - also parallel to his professional activity. "I can familiarize myself with everything," the 33-year-old is convinced. "I have the necessary competence and ambition."

Even in his lack of experience in political positions, Gröbmaier sees no disadvantage: “This allows me to approach the matter with less bias. When it comes to forming political camps, I'm out of it. ”His balanced nature, he says with a smile, helps him to work with other people - be it in his job or in the local government.
With so much professional and political commitment, there is not much time left for hobbies besides the family. Once a week, Gröbmaier goes to the rehearsal of brass band music. He has been a treasurer at the Trachtenverein for over 14 years, also "out of interest and with a lot of joy". he says. He has often played in the plays of the Trachtenverein in recent years. For this year, however, he canceled: "Now I'm looking forward to the upcoming campaign events and to an exciting new task."
