The president of the USA Donald Trump announced the pardon and commutation of sentences to 11 people, including some friends of his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and other controversial men with corruption sentences. The commutation of the sentence to Rod Blagojevich, former governor of the state of Illinois, imprisoned after being recorded trying to sell a seat, unleashed criticism even among Republicans. And the presidential pardons to the ex-commissioner of the New York Police Bernard Kerik, imprisoned for tax fraud and lying to officials; and Michael Milken, who confessed several crimes of financial and tax crimes, raises the question about whether Trump intends for his clemency to extend to cases outside the scope of his presidential power, such as those of his close friends Roger Stone and Paul Manafort.
