Laughs of children cascade down the small Postacilar street in Istanbul. The eldest in one hand, the youngest in the other, Yigit Aksakoglu loves this morning ritual where their three bodies form a single shadow which crosses stray cats, teases gulls and awakens the cobblestones still asleep from the school path. Life in all its colors. This feeling of innocence. Eternal tomorrows. But this Tuesday, February 18, the ritual could suddenly come to an end. “ Today, I am a parent like any other who deposits his daughters before going to work. Tomorrow, I risk ending up in prison forever because of a baseless trial , ”worries Yigit, who represents the Dutch foundation Bernard von Leer in Turkey.
