The 36 employees of the Planegger recycling and construction yard are on duty all year round, regardless of whether it is clearing snow in the cold winter or working in the hot summer. Now they received a snack as a thank you for their efforts.
Planegg– The Planegger municipal councilors Fritz and Hans-Christian Haugg and Peter von Schall-Riaucour came over for a small lunch on Valentine's Day. The two teams were given meat patties with potato salad, small cucumbers and tomatoes, pretzels and rolls, and drinks. So that the building and recycling center was not occupied during this time, the food was distributed in shifts. “The employees were very happy, after all it was the first time this kind had been recognized in 25 years. It was also important for us to recognize the good work of the Rainbow Association, ”says Peter von Schall-Riaucour. 14 of the 16 employees at the recycling center work through the inclusion association, i.e. have a mental disability or are long-term unemployed. “We were a total of 25 people who took a seat at the table,” says Schall-Riaucour.
The employees were delighted when they learned from Hans-Christian Haugg that the day before, the building committee had unanimously decided to make the funds available for the renovation and new construction of the administration and residence building at the recycling center promptly. "It was a nice feeling for us to have fun on Valentine's Day, but it was important that this was not an election campaign event," says von Schall-Riaucour. And so he and Hans-Christian Haugg decided without further ado to organize a meal for the building and recycling center every year.
The recycling center celebrates its 25th anniversary on Saturday, July 25th. “The community is organizing a birthday party that day, the planning has just started. Among other things, there should be a recycling center rally for children, ”says spokeswoman Martina Sohn.
