Munich - A bomb from the Second World War was found on the site of the Munich-based machine manufacturer KraussMaffei. The object weighs around 500 kilograms and was discovered during construction work. As a fire department spokesman announced on Wednesday, the plant was subsequently cleared .
Aviation bomb found at KrausMaffei - Ludwigsfelder Straße is closed
The bomb was supposed to be defused late Wednesday afternoon. However, the traffic disruptions are kept within limits: only one adjacent street, Ludwigsfelder Straße , was closed to traffic . The Munich fire department announced this on Twitter.

A bomb was also defused in Augsburg at the beginning of February - but it was only 225 kilos.
