Landshut - Theresa S. from the Landshut district likes to cook for her life. When she comes home from her daily job in the evening, it is cooked fresh afterwards. Because you have to eat anyway and ready meals rarely come into the house of the wife and triple mother. "For me, cooking is the daily balance to work," says Theresa.
In the meantime, the two older children of Theresa have moved out, only the youngest daughter still lives with the parents. It was also she who had the idea on Christmas holiday 2019 to dedicate her own social media presence to her mother's cooking skills . "We cooked together and then my daughter came up with the idea that you could start a cooking blog on Instagram . That was done very quickly, ”says Theresa via her blog "Theresa_kocht_", which opens on December 29, 2019 with a recipe for homemade focaccia, a hearty Italian flatbread.

Theresa cooks on Instagram: her daughter had a great idea
The blog's follower numbers are slowly increasing. "To be honest, I was surprised that there were a few subscribers," said Theresa about the beginning of the blog. The number of followers will soon be in the low three-digit range. "It was actually more than I expected." In fact, the competition is huge, there are countless cook blogs on Instagram.
Theresa's daughter sees significantly more follower potential in her mother's blog - and has an idea. She posts a post in the "Jodel" app - and calls to follow her mother's blog on Instagram . Other yodel users share the call on several portals and thus trigger a veritable wave.
“My daughter told me that she made a social media post. But what exactly did she not tell me, ”says Theresa. But she quickly realizes what the post has done. Within a few hours theresa_kocht_'s number of followers soared , soon reaching over 15,000. The number has now leveled off at around 14,600 followers . (As of February 18, 2020)

"I think that's good," says Theresa. She was still pleasantly surprised, not only by the many followers but also by the lively exchange that takes place within the cooking community . "Many then ask questions about the recipe or make suggestions as to what could possibly be changed or varied," she says.

However, she did not make the blog to become famous. On the contrary. "I just want to show that you can often cook really well yourself with little effort and I like to share it with my followers," she reveals. Theresa has to admit one thing: “Never use finished products - I can't do that either. I can't make fresh pasta or fill ravioli every time I want to eat pasta. That would be insane. Sometimes I buy ready-made things. ”But the community seems to forgive her for that.
Should her blog become even more popular, Theresa could even imagine an advertising cooperation. But she has clear ideas: “That must be a regional producer or some other product that I fully support. I don’t want to show my community anything that I’m not convinced myself. ”
Yodel community: This is how users support each other
The yodelling app has given Theresa new fame as a cook because the community has supported her so much. But the yodel users have completely different qualities. The young yodel community gave mental and moral support to a young man from Munich when he caught his girlfriend in flagranti after a visit to the Oktoberfest. Every now and then just funny sayings or pictures are shared, like recently in Vaterstetten, when a yodel user showed the community the curious picture that his parcel carrier had left him on the delivery note.
