According to information from the Hollywood police, the police intervened at 4:25 a.m. at 2000 Hercules Drive, in Hollywood, where, according to the call from the east coast, several individuals, including one armed and masked, had entered a house. "When they arrived, six minutes after the call, the police officers discovered a victim who had been shot inside the house," said the law enforcement official in a statement to the media. The identity of the deceased musician was not confirmed until later today.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the police believe that the rapper was the victim of a phenomenon of "home invasion" which is gaining momentum in Los Angeles: several music stars have seen their home attacked by individuals with more or less honest intentions. The publication on social networks of photos or videos of artists showing their homes has further accentuated the phenomenon. Pop Smoke has published in recent days pictures showing him in front of his swimming pool in the backyard of 2000 Hercules Drive or views of the panorama that his house offers on the city. The police explain, however, still ignore the real motivations of the attackers and at least two people are wanted today.
