(CNN) - After being trapped for several weeks in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, students from several Latin American countries were evacuated on Wednesday.
A student from Panama, five from Ecuador, four from El Salvador and five from the Dominican Republic are part of this group that are transferred on a flight organized by the Government of Ukraine, the foreign ministries of those countries reported.

The young women will remain under observation in Ukraine for two weeks and will then begin their journey to their countries of origin.
The president of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, thanked the support of the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to achieve the repatriation of the students.
