Director of the Russian Council for International Affairs Andrei Kortunov stressed that the liberation of villages and towns in western and northern Aleppo from terrorism is a very important step towards restoring security and stability to all Syrian regions.
In an interview with a SANA correspondent in Moscow, Cortonov pointed out that the victories of the Syrian Arab Army in Aleppo are clear evidence of the inability to continue the current situation in Idlib, which has turned into a hotbed of terrorism that has harmed its people and all Syrians.
Cortonov stressed the need for the Turkish regime to stop its support for terrorist organizations in Idlib and to adhere to the Sochi understandings.
In a similar interview, a member of the Russian Council for International Affairs, Ruslan Mamedov, said that the Syrian army's victories against terrorism in Aleppo confirm that Syria is determined to restore security and stability to all its territories.
The Russian researcher pointed out that the liberation of Aleppo from the terrorists has great implications, especially as it is of great strategic and economic importance to Syria and to human civilization.
Mamedov noted the steadfastness of Russia's supportive stance in Syria in its war on terrorism and the preservation of its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
