"Security for all," said an impromptu sign at the door of Valerio Llanos' business (62). The neighbors installed an improvised altar there to support the family and denounce a wave of robberies in the Jorge Newbery neighborhood of Laferrere, in La Matanza.
Valerio had started with his venture almost 25 years ago, with his wife and three children. That is why in the area everyone knew him and felt the loss after the murder. The man grew up to turn his store into a market with butcher, warehouse and greengrocer.
It was this Tuesday, around 8:30 pm, that the premises of Estanislao del Campo 3550 were being cleaned. In the background was an employee whom the assailants did not get to see. Valerio had a rag and a bucket of water. He treated them like anyone else and did not doubt the two who would end up murdered in cold blood.
"He was flushing, he dropped the bucket and was shot because he did . We know that they arrived in a car and escaped. When he arrived at the hospital my dad had a pulse, but then the doctor who attended him told me that they could not save him by the shot in the head, "said Edgar Llanos (34) at the door of the business where he also works.

It was not the first time they suffered a robbery. "We took care of ourselves," he said before being indignant about his father's crime: "We are destroyed because asking for justice is like nothing , here they steal every day because it is a liberated area and there is no patrol in the area."
Edgar is the eldest of three siblings and, in addition to helping in the business, he studied electronics to repair appliances. That trade gave work to the whole family and, in the midst of pain, Edgar recognized in dialogue with Crónica TV : "I don't know what we are going to do, if we are going to keep it or we are going to close it." Then he insisted: "This happened is terrible."
Valerio had been a widower two years ago, so he took care of his children and grandchildren.
The investigation was in the hands of the prosecutor Claudio Fornaro, of the Office of Homicide of La Matanza, who ordered some raids to find the suspects of the crime.
This morning, relatives and neighbors of the neighborhood concentrated in front of the butcher shop, where they claimed more security in the neighborhood. And they organized another demonstration for 20.
Mayda, a relative of Valerio, told Clarín : "We just want the children to be able to get ahead and find strength."
Aldana, a neighbor of the Newton neighborhood warned that "it is a shame" what happens to the security in the neighborhood and said that at the police station they are told that " there are no patrolmen to go out to tour ."
In addition, they denounced that while they were killing Llanos in another nearby area there was a march to ask for security.
