Josef Hauser (53) wants to conquer the Dietramszell town hall. He does not believe that the surrounding communities should compensate for the settlement pressure from Munich.

Dietramszell - The huge dining table dominates the room. The raw pine wood is a surprising contrast to the open white high-gloss kitchen with the light tiled floor. A chimney fire blazes behind a glass pane; a red painted wall provides color. "This is where the family meets," says Josef Hauser. At least once a day, his wife Violeta and he sit with the children Melissa (17), Lena (15) and Christopher (13) to talk about the joys and worries of everyday life while eating together. "This way you don't lose contact with each other." Always there is family dog "Donna" - a black curly bundle of energy that belongs to the rare breed of Portuguese water dogs. Hauser's mother-in-law in need of care has been living in the actual living room for several months.

Hauser grew up in Ascholding

Ten years ago the 53-year-old Ascholdinger moved with his family to his uncle's former bungalow. In order to make room for the necessary additional bedrooms, he says, the entire roof was raised. He grew up just a few hundred meters away on the outskirts of Ascholding. Because he loves his home, he explains in an interview with our newspaper, he wants to become mayor of Dietramszell for the free voters. "I want our villages to remain villages," he says, "and human coexistence is preserved." He does not believe that the surrounding communities should balance the settlement pressure from Munich: "If nobody does anything now, we have a few Years only sleep villages. "

In the municipal council for twelve years

In the most recent local elections six years ago, he had already considered running for a seat in the town hall. “But at that time the children were still too small for me.” Hauser has been the third mayor since 2014; he has been on the Dietramszell council for twelve years. "I know that I am said that Hauser Sepp is against everything," he admits frankly. His objections prevented projects such as the industrial estate or the construction of a large local supplier on the outskirts of Ascholding. "But at least there is a significant improvement over the original plans," he emphasizes. The community's kindergarten is now not being built in the shadow of the Edeka market to the west, but on a sunny southern plot. As a co-founder and member of the board of the "Kindergarten Ascholding", he had spent ten years working on a new kindergarten in the village.

The 53-year-old works at the Kripo in Miesbach

He describes persistence as his personal strength. He can also use them in his job. Hauser works for the criminal police in Miesbach, where he is responsible, among other things, for the handling of fire, sexual and homicide crimes. "Sometimes I take my cases home mentally," he admits. "The killed infant in Otterfing two years ago, for example, was a very stressful thing for me." Such things are also discussed at the kitchen table at home.

However, he only got to the detention center via a detour. He originally learned to cook, says Hauser. “But you only have to move around in the world if you want to achieve something. I was too attached to my home. ”He preferred to switch: after a few years, he started“ this and that ”as a 24-year-old in the middle police service; later he went on to study business administration.

Also interesting: This was the podium discussion with the Dietramszell candidates for mayor

The chief detective likes going hiking, cycling or relaxing in the rifle club to relax. The best thing he can do is clear his head while running: "I started again half a year ago when I quit smoking." The decisive factor was his candidacy. "If I want to switch back to civil service at the Kripo in six years after my term of office, I have to pass the health exam again," says Hauser, smiling.
