The "Diamond Princess" docked at the Daikoku Pier in Yokohama, because it had carried a confirmed patient from Hong Kong, all passengers and crew have been quarantined on board since February 3, during which more than 620 passengers were diagnosed with infection. After the expiration of the quarantine period on the 19th, the Japanese government approved passengers who had a negative virus test result and no symptoms.
The Hong Kong Government sent charter flights to evacuate the Hong Kong people on board. The Secretary for Security Li Jiachao pointed out that there were 364 Hong Kong people on board, 260 people holding SAR passports, and nearly 100 people holding other passports. Of these, 55 Hong Kong people were diagnosed and their 33 close contacts were temporarily unable to return to Hong Kong.
