3000 families in Hasaka governorate benefited from small agricultural holdings from the wheat and barley seed grant provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Engineer Ragab Salama, Director of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in Hasaka, told a SANA correspondent that the distribution operations carried out in cooperation between the Directorate and the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in the governorate included 3,000 families in the areas of Tel Hamis, Tal Barak, Hasaka, Shaddadi and Marakada at an average of 200 kg of wheat seed or 200 km Gram of barley seed, where wheat seed was allocated to the beneficiaries in the first settlement area located in the north of the governorate, and the beneficiaries in the southern region were allocated barley seed.
Salama pointed out that the Directorate and through the specialized committees will follow up the agricultural operations for the beneficiaries and reach the goal of distribution, which is to help farmers to continue farming and plowing the land and secure a material income for them.
