Eight people were killed in two shooting incidents in the city of Hanau, near Frankfurt, Germany, police said Thursday. Both incidents occurred in hookah smoking bars in the city. The background to the actions is still unclear.

Apparently, the gunmen fled the scene of the first shooting in a dark car. Police released phone numbers to the public, asking for any information that could lead to those responsible.
