There is already a date for the departure of Enrique from England and Meghan Markle from the British royal house. Starting next March 31, the Dukes of Sussex will take a “step back” in their role as senior members of the royal family, as announced through their official Instagram account last January, triggering a crisis in Buckingham palace. The BBC advanced on Wednesday, citing a spokesman for the couple. The withdrawal conditions, however, will have to be reviewed within a year.

On January 8, the dukes announced that they became independent from the British royal family. "We intend to take a step back in our role as senior members of the royal family and work to be economically independent, while continuing our full support for your majesty," he read in his statement. Now it has been announced that this "step back" will finally arrive on March 31.

As of April 1, the dukes will no longer represent the queen in official acts and will not have an office in Buckingham Palace, but will continue to play a public role through its foundation. The organization, the spokesman says, will continue to work in the same areas, including mental health and youth empowerment. Enrique will be more focused on the well-being of the military, conservation and HIV, while Meghan will primarily focus on women's empowerment, equality and education.

Although they will leave behind their titles of royal highnesses, finally Enrique will retain his military ranks, to which he has a great attachment, according to that spokesman. However, at least during that first year in which they will test their new situation, they will not be able to use them.

The dukes are expected to return to the United Kingdom later this month for some commitments planned for February and March. His spokesman has confirmed that they will travel to Europe often, even if their residence is set in North America. On February 28 they will be present at an Invictus Games event, which Enrique sponsors, along with singer Jon Bon Jovi. In addition, on the 5th they will attend the Endeavor Fund awards, while on 6th the prince will be at the Silverstone circuit with the racing driver Lewis Hamilton. In addition, both will be at the Mountbatten Music Festival on March 7, while Meghan will also have her own acts on the 8th, on the occasion of International Women's Day. The 9 will be the big day, since the couple will join Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the British royal family for the Commonwealth religious service at Westminster Abbey

After leaving for Canada, Meghan Markle and Enrique from England fired their 15 employees from their offices and their London home, confirming the firmness of their decision. The couple will give up real titles and public financing, but it remains to be determined whether they can use the Royal Sussex brand, which they registered before their explosive announcement.
