Users of Mar del Plata, Santa Fe, Rosario and Córdoba of the application to know when the bus arrives a couple of days ago that they cannot connect.

The reason? The app's “When does it happen?” , " When does it arrive?" and "Go" , depending on the province or city where they were used, were victims of hackers. They ask for a ransom in bitcoins to unlock the service.

The apps “When does it arrive?” from Rosario and Mar del Plata, "When does it happen?" from Santa Fe and “Go” from Córdoba belong to the Efisat + company.

The company issued a statement apologizing to the users and informed that it made the corresponding complaint before “the Territorial Center for Complaints-District Center of the Ministry of Security of the Province of Santa Fe”.

"We have been the victim of a computer crime that affected our technological infrastructure, which prevents access to information and, therefore, regularly provide our services," the company said in a statement.

Hernán Peralta, from the Efisat + company, spoke with Telefé Santa Fe and explained: “On Monday at 4 we were attacked by hackers that we don't know where they are from. These people applied a technology, called r ansomware , that encrypt the database, give you a password and leave you a message that invites you to communicate with them. there they tell you that you have to pay a ransom to get the key . ”

As Peralta revealed, in this type of case the hackers ask to be paid in bitcoins to free them from hijacking the data.

"A bitcoin is worth about 10 thousand dollars , and bailouts can go between 5 and 10, 20," he suggested.

Peralta clarified: "We are not negotiating but we are bound to restore service." The delay could range from one to five days .
