There is also the CEO of RFI Maurizio Gentile among the new suspects of the Lodi prosecutor for the accident of the Frecciarossa 1000 which on February 6th was derailed in Ospedaletto Lodigiano causing the death of two train drivers. The new suspects will have the opportunity to participate in the next unrepeatable investigations that are scheduled for the weekend. The investigations also take into account the functional organization charts of the two companies involved, RFI and Alstom Ferroviaria.
"We have 12 other suspects in the investigation." The prosecutor of the Republic of Lodi said it tonight in reference to the accident of the Frecciarossa 1000 which on February 6th was derailed in Ospedaletto Lodigiano causing the death of two train drivers. The number of suspects thus rises to 18 after the 5 Rfi maintenance workers, the CEO of Alstom Ferroviaria Michele Viale and the Rfi company for the hypothesis of administrative liability.
"The suspects are partly employees of the company that manages the railway network and partly of what appears to have produced the result, apparently defective," explained the Prosecutor of the Republic Domenico Chiaro. He is now registered in the register of suspects even the Alstom company and not only the CEO, or the company that produced the actuator number 5, that would have derailed the convoy. To date, therefore, 18 people and 2 companies are investigated for the train derailment.
