The Chinese National Health Commission announced today that it has received reports of 889 new confirmed cases of the new SK virus and 118 deaths in 31 regions.
Of the deaths, 115 were in Hubei Province and one in Zhejiang, Yunnan and Chongqing Municipality, respectively, according to the Xinhua news agency.
The committee added that the latest reports indicate that a total of 2236 people died from the disease and 75,465 confirmed cases of the new Corona virus were registered in 31 districts at the county level.
The province also saw 2109 patients discharged from hospital after their recovery yesterday, raising the total number of patients discharged from hospital to 18,264 patients. The National Health Committee of China announced yesterday that the number of deaths from the Corona virus inside the country rose to 2118.
