Kultcafé opening is delayed

The opening of the cult café in Gilching station is delayed. Meanwhile, the tenant of the former "Track 8" criticized the community.

Gilching - The renovation work is dragging on: Originally, the new gastronomy in the Gilching-Argelrsied S-Bahn station was to open in early February. Marcin Dybowski, operator of the future “Kultcafé Spectacel”, does not expect the opening until spring, as he says on request. Meanwhile, Jörg Frey, leaseholder of the former “Track 8”, makes harsh accusations against the community. The trigger is a quote from the Citizens' Survey "Zukunft Gilching", which the Gilching SPD has put online.

Frey only operated “Track 8” for one year. He filed for bankruptcy in early summer 2019, and at the end of August he received a cancellation agreement from the municipality (we reported). Frey and the community tacitly agreed on the details. But the calm is now over, because a remark about “Track 8” in connection with the SPD poll annoys Frey very much.

There in the category of gastronomy it says: “Track 8 was supported massively by the municipality before and during operation. Subsequently, the operator is not responsible for the success, but the operator. We are very optimistic that the new tenant has perseverance and will provide us with high quality gastronomy. ”

Frey doesn't want to leave it like that. "It is time to tell the truth," he said to Starnberg Mercury yesterday. The community had made life difficult for him from the start, and there could be no question of support. "I didn't have any parking spaces until July," says Frey. He was not allowed to hang out flowers, nor did the municipality want a sign on the listed building. “I had agreed on a beer garden by train. The community did not want that either. ”Contrary to all agreements, he was not involved in planning the counter.

In total, he invested a six-figure sum. "That was my life's work." He then filed for bankruptcy to protect himself. "The bankruptcy administrator advised me to continue. The numbers were good. ”If it had been up to him, he would have run the economy by the end of the year. "That would have worked with the Christmas celebrations." The community wanted the separation at the end of August. As a result, he was no longer able to pay the salaries, which is why his employees have now sued him.

The mayor was only there for dinner twice, once at the Christmas party. "Catering orders have always received others." He knew that a municipal council criticized the quality of its menu in a private meeting and pilloried it. “But they weren't there themselves.” As far as the new tenant is concerned, he now has the impression “that everything is allowed in the building. Beer garden, signs outside, everything ”.

Mayor Manfred Walter regretted yesterday that Frey had such a grudge against the community. "It's all spoken between us," he said. He did not want to comment on further details "because otherwise it would never end". However, the allegations are all false and baseless. He was not involved in the publication of the SPD survey, it was a matter for the Gilching SPD. He wishes Frey "that he comes to rest".

The future innkeeper Marcin Dybowski, who also operates the Inninger Spectacel, hopes that the renovation work in the station will be quick. "Maybe I can go in from mid-March. Then I could open in April. "
