The Criminal Security Administration in Damascus seized a company and a hall for selling household appliances and electrical appliances in the city of Damascus, whose owners deal in a currency other than the Syrian pound.
The Ministry of the Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that the company headquarters and the hall were investigated in coordination with the Judicial Officer at the Central Bank of Syria and found in the company a set of documents in which its accounts and transactions are recorded in the US dollar, noting that, by investigating the workers in the company, they recognized the dealings of their owners other than the Syrian pound from During the sale and purchase of electrical appliances, "air conditioners and refrigerators" according to the US dollar exchange rate.
The Ministry pointed out that he found in the hall bills and the arrival of receiving amounts in dollars and other foreign currencies, and by investigating the owners and manager of the hall admitted to dealing with them.
The Ministry indicated that the confiscated amounts were handed over to the Central Bank of Syria in due course and investigations are still ongoing to take the necessary legal measures against them.
