Tölzer Nordspange: The cow is off the ice

The Mayor of Tölz Josef Janker didn't really know whether he should be happy or angry. In the end, satisfaction won. After yesterday's conversation with Mayor Anton Margreiter from Greiling, it now looks as if all opposition to the north bypass in Tölz has been removed. "The cow is off the ice," said Janker, "I hope that Greiling is the only plaintiff to withdraw his complaint."

Bad Tölz - To do this, however, Tölz has to swallow a toad. The current federal road 472 on Kasernenberg will become the connecting road once the north clasp has been completed. The municipality of Greiling does not want to have anything to do with the construction site, since the city is the sole beneficiary of the 410 meter long stretch of road. "So we take on the duty of clearing and scattering," assured Janker, not without pointing out that the district town has now again taken over tasks of other municipalities for the common good. To make the Bergwachtzentrum possible, Tölz took over the replacement for compensation areas for Gaißach. And for the hiking trail concept Tölzer Land Süd, the city bears the cost of the municipality of Wackersberg.

Greiling Mayor Anton Margreiter prefers to look back at what he considers to be an inadequate planning approval procedure. "The Greilingen concerns were simply not heard." The community was by no means "an obstacle", he defended himself against previous accusations from the Tölz town hall. He welcomed the city's commitment to take over the construction site and assured that “if we can still acquire land at the airport, we will of course do our part to maintain the road. Then we will use them too. "

Margreiter sees the negotiations on the right track due to the two other points of criticism in Greilingen. Where on the one hand with the surface water? Here, the building authority in Weilheim has given assurance that the water management office will make another statement as to whether the planned drainage measures are effective and whether the Greiling municipality's flood protection concept is compatible with it. However, Stefan Vogt from the Weilheim building authority is convinced that "we will not experience a big surprise". The situation would be improved with the planned rainwater retention basin.

Finally, point 3: the cycle path connection to Tölz, which the municipality criticizes on three differently dedicated streets as rather unsafe for traffic. A completely new solution has now been found here. The cycle path is to be led north of Tölzer Straße in the direction of the airport and along an access path to the B13 and further along Allgaustraße in the direction of Eichmühle and Tölzer Bahnhof. "We want to come to Tölz directly," says Margreiter. That is possible, says Vogt. The engineering office gave the green light. No new land use is necessary.

If all municipal bodies agree to the solution package, Margreiter said, the complaint will be withdrawn. Question to the building authority: When can construction of the north clasp then begin? Vogt slows down expectations. The acquisition of land with the private owners only begins when the lawsuit has been withdrawn. Construction planning and tenders would still take time. He cautiously estimates that construction roads and line divisions will begin in late 2021. The construction of the actual northern bypass would then take two or three years - the technical structures were not easy.
