The anti-narcotics branch in Tartus arrested two persons who are promoting narcotic pills and are wanted by other parties for several crimes, and they seized 66 narcotics Captagon tablets.
In its statement, the Ministry indicated that 18 narcotic Captagon pills were seized in his possession and a military rifle with ammunition and military equipment, explaining that by checking his position, it was found that he had several requests for crimes of "shooting, wounding a person, impersonating a security patrol, and taking and promoting drugs."
The Ministry indicated that, upon his interrogation, he confessed to promoting the sale of narcotic Captagon pills in conjunction with another person who was arrested with an elaborate ambush and seized 48 narcotic Captagon pills in his possession, as it was found that he has several requests for crimes including "killing a person, stealing his weapon, attacking, shooting and drugs."
The Ministry indicated that the latter is required for one of the security authorities, and he is entitled to two police bulletins. The first includes three years imprisonment with work and a fine for smuggling, and the second for the crime of possession of an unlicensable war weapon, indicating that investigations are still ongoing with the arrested and will be submitted to the competent judiciary after the completion of the investigation with them.
