The second charter flight of the Hong Kong government returned to Hong Kong from Japan this morning, but Hong Kong people were still stranded on board. The Secretary for Security, Li Jiachao, pointed out that the Hong Kong Government will send a third extra charter flight to Japan today. It will take off at 1:45 in the morning to return Hong Kong people who are still stranded on board and who are not in close contact.

The Secretary for Security, Li Jiachao, said that 84 passengers on the Diamond Princess boarded a Hong Kong government charter flight back to Hong Kong this morning. Of these, 82 are Hong Kong residents and 2 Macau residents. Hong Kong residents were sent to Junyang Village for quarantine. Two Macao residents were returned to Macau directly from the airport. Eighteen passengers were unable to charter flights due to an incorrect list, including 17 Hong Kong people and 1 Macau person. Seventeen Hong Kong people were sent to Junyang Village for quarantine, and the Macao people arranged for the car to return to Macau.

A third charter flight will be arranged to return to Hong Kong today and take off at 1:45 tomorrow morning. It is expected that all non-close contacts of Hong Kong people who have been disembarked will receive a small number of people. Today, the Japanese authorities will arrange all close contacts to quarantine on land, including Hong Kong people. Immigration staff will stay in Japan to assist. More than 100 Hong Kong people are still stranded in Japan, of which 32 are close contacts and dozens are non-close contacts.

The Secretary for Food and Health, Chen Zhaoshi, said that 208 Hong Kong residents lived in Chunyang Village, Fo Tan. A 9-year-old boy who returned to Hong Kong from the Diamond Princess had a fever and was taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital. The initial test was negative. A 68-year-old passenger who returned to Hong Kong was sent to hospital with a fever. Diamond Princess passengers, a total of 68 Hong Kong people were diagnosed, will stay in Japan for medical treatment. Close contacts are actively following up on rework.
