Much has been said these days about the coronavirus that has already left more than 2,300 dead in China and is spreading throughout the world. But there is still much to know about this disease that apparently originated in a market in Wuhan City where live animals were sold.

Is it possible that this new coronavirus has been predicted in the Leviticus Book, in Jewish sources? There are those who say yes. according to an article published in the Jewish News Agency.

As is known, for doctors in China the virus exploded as a result of seafood intake in a local market.

Rabbi Matiyahu Glazerson, a scholar who dedicates himself to the method of omitting letters in the Torah, says that in the Levitical book you can see the words "virus," "crown," "animal organ," and "Chinese," he said. AJN

In the video published by the religious scholar, Glazerson formulated his thesis that the name of the epidemic can be found in the text if we use the letter skipping code in the Torah. Using this concept that became popular for the first time in 1997 after the journalist Michael Druznin published his book "The Biblical Code", which deals with the controversial technique.

In this part, the Torah talks about what is forbidden to eat for the people of Israel. And among those things mention the intake of animal organs when they are still alive, and the fruits of the sea.

According to the rabbi, this is an indication of what might come centuries after these pages were written.
