Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox , Lisa Kudrow , Matt LeBlanc , Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer , as well as the creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman, would have asked for this program twice the salary they charged for each episode of the mythical series, an amount that US media estimate that it will be around 2.5 or 3 million dollars.

Some interpreters of the series, such as Perry and Aniston, confirmed the meeting on their Instagram profiles.

Although the millions of "Friends" fans have sighed for years for new episodes of the series, this special meeting would not be an episode of fiction as such but, rather, a "retrospective" style show with interviews with the cast.

The special will be filmed in studio 24 of the Warner Bros headquarters in Burbank, California, the same place where the original series was recorded.

This program will be the cover letter for HBO Max, the new "streaming" service of WarnerMedia and will have the broadcasting rights of "Friends" after leaving Netflix .

It will be a strong premiere for the platform, just as Disney + opted for the Star Wars universe with "The Mandalorian" for its landing.

Until now, "Friends" was broadcast on Netflix, but Warner did not hesitate to disburse more than 400 million dollars this summer to recover it and integrate it as one of the diamonds of his future HBO Max service.

"Friends", which premiered on September 22, 1994, closed in 2004 ten seasons of success after 236 episodes on the air starring Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry and Schwimmer.

But comedy is still a phenomenon for countless fans around the world who are still willing to watch, again and again on repositions or digital platforms, the New York stories of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross.
