Last Sunday, municipal elections in the Dominican Republic were suspended due to a massive failure in the automated voting system, used in the 18 most populous municipalities in the country. Now, the Central Electoral Board suspended its computer director, Miguel Ángel García. The elections, where more than 3,800 municipal offices will be elected, were rescheduled for March 15.
