Tehran-Sana
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that the presence of the American occupation forces in Syria is illegal, as it contradicts the will of the Syrian state, pointing out that the American presence and the approach followed by Washington in the region are the main reason for destabilizing its security.
Rouhani said during his meeting today with Dutch Foreign Minister Steve Block in Tehran that if America stops its terrorist acts and its wrongful interventions, the region will become naturally safe.
Rouhani called on the people of the free world to condemn the illegal US ban against the Iranian people, noting that the nuclear agreement serves the interests of the region and the world, and that Washington's withdrawal from it harms the peoples of the region, the world, and the American people themselves.
Rouhani expressed his regret that the European Union had not been able, within the months that followed the US withdrawal from the agreement, to implement its obligations within its framework.
For his part, the Dutch Foreign Minister stressed the necessity of preserving the nuclear agreement as an international agreement, adding: "We told the Americans explicitly and in particular that their exit from the nuclear agreement was not a right thing."
Block expressed his hope that his country will be able to play a more active role and participation in the European financial mechanism "Instex".
