An elderly woman with cancer who contracted the new coronavirus has died in Italy, authorities in Lombardy said on Sunday, bringing the number of deaths in the most affected country in Europe to three.

It is an " elderly woman who had been hospitalized in Crema [near Cremona, in Lombardy] for several days and whose tests showed that she had contracted the coronavirus ", explained during a press conference to Milan, regional health assistant, Giulio Gallera. He said she had been admitted " in oncology in a serious condition ".
