Terrorist organization threatened after thwarting attempt to place cargo in fence in Gaza • IDF will reinforce iron dome system to intercept possible launches

The IDF on Sunday decided to reinforce the Iron Dome array in the south to properly prepare for possible Islamic Jihad response launches to thwart the attempted terrorist attack this morning.

A spokesman for the Islamic Jihad said on Twitter that "the penetration of the Zionist enemy into the territory and the elimination of one of the fighters in the Gaza Strip is cruel and vicious, a clear aggression and an enemy to bear."

The Islamic Jihad's military wing, al-Quds Brigades, issued a mourning message to one of the two terrorists, 27, from Khan Yunis province. The terrorist organization emphasized that "the martyrs' blood was not in vain. We pledge to Allah and our people and our nation that we will go their way and that our account with this arrogant enemy is a long and open account."

Hamas said earlier that "the crime of occupation and abuse of the bodies of the martyrs will not break the will of our people, who will insist on its opposition to all the tools to protect its rights and principles."
