The Italian government approved a special law decree on Saturday to ban entry and exit into areas considered to be the focus of the new coronavirus epidemic , of which 79 people were already infected, two of whom died.
"In areas considered as outbreaks, neither entry nor exit will be authorized, with particular exceptions , " said Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
In addition, Conte announced the closure of companies and schools and the annulment of public events. The main area is around Codogno, 60 km from Milan.
On the other hand, the authorities announced that the balance of infections by the new coronavirus in Italy rose to 79 people.
The figures include three people, two of whom, Chinese tourists, who contracted the virus several weeks ago outside of Italy, and a young man who left the hospital in Rome on Saturday. Most of the others are cases detected in Lombardy (54 cases), in the Codogno area, and in Venice (17 cases).
