Reception for the Russian embassy in Damascus on the anniversary of the Russian Army Day

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Damascus held a reception on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the Day of the Russian Army, "The Day of Defenders of the Land of the Fathers," at Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.

Colonel Alexander Greenenko, the military attaché to the Russian embassy, ​​confirmed in a speech that Russian forces stand with the Syrian Arab Army in combating international terrorism and its operators who use it in an attempt to achieve their geopolitical goals.

Greenenko emphasized the need not to follow double standards and exceptional allegations in international politics, and the need to adopt approaches based on fair foundations that contribute to making the world more equitable and stable.

In turn, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Ayman Sosan, praised the support of the Russian forces to the Syrian Arab Army in confronting terrorism, stressing that Syria is continuing its war on terrorism until its final elimination and the restoration of security and stability to all Syrian lands.

Sosan said that the Russian military in Syria had fought honorably with the comrades of arms in the Syrian Arab Army in embodying the historical friendship between the two countries and in defense of humanity.

The ceremony was attended by Political and Media Adviser at the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, Deputy Minister of Defense General Mahmoud Al Shawa, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Governor of Damascus, a number of ambassadors, representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions in Damascus, and partisan and cultural activities.
