(CNN Spanish) - After 14 days, the coronavirus quarantine ended on Sunday for the group of 58 people who were isolated at the Annapolis air base in Brazil since they were returned from Wuhan, China, according to the state agency
Brazil agency.

The defense minister, Fernando Azevedo, participated in the ceremony and farewell breakfast that was offered to the returnees before they embarked on the Brazilian Air Force planes to their home cities, the state agency said.

On Friday, a third medical test was carried out on the passengers and the results were negative for the coronavirus, so the Ministry of Health determined the release of the quarantine, four days ahead of schedule, according to the Brazilian State Agency.

The group, consisting of 34 returnees and 24 members of the rescue group, arrived in the country on February 9 in two Brazilian Air Force planes.
