The Auschwitz Museum in Poland criticized Amazon on Sunday because of fanciful depictions of the Holocaust in its new TV series "Hunters" and the sale of Nazi propaganda books - Reuters reports.

The "Hunters" series went live Friday, starring El Pacino, who leads a team of Nazi hunters in 1970s New York. The crew discovers hundreds of Nazis who have fled Germany, and live in the United States. Since the series went on air, the creators of the series have been accused of pointless radicalization in describing the fictional horrors in the Nazi extermination camps, such as: a human chess game, in which the "chess" of the chess is dropped from the board every time.

"To invent a fake game of human chess for this series is not only dangerous stupidity, but also something that will serve as Holocaust deniers in the future," the Auschwitz Museum tweeted on Twitter. "We honor the victims by keeping the facts accurate."

The Auschwitz Museum is responsible for preserving the remains of the Nazi extermination camp in southern Poland, where more than one million people, mostly Jews, perished in gas or starvation, cold and disease.

On Friday, the Holocaust Museum turned to Amazon and asked for anti-Semitic children's books by Nazi Julius Streicher, executed for crimes against humanity, to be removed from the site.

Julius Streicher was an anti-Semitic journalist and publisher and head of the Nazi regime in Germany. Streicher, the founder, owner and editor of the anti-Semitic newspaper "Der Stirmer".

Excerpt from one of Streicher's "children's books"

"Do you see anything that indicates that the Jew became a Jew"? Annie asks. "Not a single sign," Greta whispers. "They still have the same noses and ears, the same legs, the same lips and the same frizzy hair. And they still swing like geese for days." The Jew seems to have heard something from the girls' conversation. Suddenly he stops, grins at the girls shamelessly and spits at their feet, and continues on his way with Rebecca. The girls look at each other in astonishment. "Such audacity! And it wants to be considered without a Jew," says Annie. "The conversion did not make him without a Jew. Rebecca remained a Jew, too," Greta exclaimed. (From: "The Poisoned Mushroom," a children's book published by "Der Strimer").

"When you decide to profit from the sale of evil anti-Semitic propaganda published without any critical comment or context, you should remember that these words led not only to the Holocaust (of the Jews) but to many other hate crimes," the Auschwitz Museum tweeted.
